What's so great about coffee soap you wonder? Well good news, I'm about to tell you, because I know that's the question you've been pining away at since your existence.
My coffee soap is one of my FAVORITES!!!!!!!!!!! And it's not my favorite just because I made it either. There are no fancy fragrances or essential oils here, and that's part of it's wonderful charm, even though I love me some fragrant soap. But I know there are people out there who can't tolerate fragrance, natural, or otherwise.

Coffee and It's Benefits for Your Skin
The liquid I use to make this soap with is coffee. Beautiful, sanity giving, life saving (after I've had a cup,but not if I've had too many) aromatic, coffee. It's also very skin loving in case you didn't know! Even if you don't like coffee on the inside of you, it can do great stuff on the outside. It's the caffeine that preforms all the magic. It can reduce inflammation, reduce under eye circles, and reduce to appearance of cellulite. This all sounds amazing doesn't it! I've given birth........4 times.........i have cellulite, let's just creep things real here. I also have dark circles, and not long ago some pretty nasty inflammation all over my hands. So this caffeine magic sound pretty goo to me!
How does it work? Here's a couple links to help you delve deeper.
1. This one goes into a bit of scientific detail.
2. One of my favorite resources, Wellness Mama, offers many more strategies to help fight cellulite.
Something else coffee has a talent for is eliminating odors, making this a great bar to have by the sink to use while cooking.
Coffee Grounds
All aboard the exfoliation train! Do you work somewhere where getting messy is part of the job description? Maybe your a gardener? Or are you someone who just likes nice exfoliated skin? This soap is for you! Coffee grounds offer mega exfoliation power! The first time I used it in the shower I was AMAZED at how much dead skin sloughed off, and how smooth my skin felt after. If there was an exfoliation scale in existence (which I'm sure there is somewhere), and 1 represented light exfoliation, and 10 represented maximum exfoliation, this would be a solid 10!
Kaolin Clay
Most clays are touted to be detoxifying, and kaolin is one of them. The reason I add it to my soap though, is because it creates a nice slick barrier making it very useful as a shaving bar as well. Kaolin clay is also full of silica, and trace minerals that are all great for you skin.
The rest of the ingredients all have amazing properties in their own rights, which I won't go over in this post, these are just the ones that make this soap extra special. All of my soaps are created to be both cleansing and moisturizing through the amount of oils I use, and how much I super fat (adding extra oils so some oils don't turn into soap, instead they stick around to moisturize). If all of this fabulous info has you as excited as me about this soap check it out in my etsy shop!
Please not that I am not claiming my soap will do these things, because even if they do claiming that would be BIG legal no-no. But, I can educated you on what caffeine can do for you and your skin ;)

Whether you're allergic to corn, or just trying to avoid the stuff, it's a real challenge. I frequently say I would gladly keep my dairy and gluten allergies, if only I could tolerate corn. It's EVERYWHERE! Even on many brands of toilet paper. Seriously folks, cornstarch on your toilet paper to prevent the rolls from sticking together. Another place many people don't think of finding corn is in their baking powder. It is typically made up of baking soda, cream of tartar, and cornstarch. The baking soda is the leavening agent. Cream of tartar is the acid that induces the reaction to set of the leavener. And the starch is a drying agent.
